On Friday, April 23, four communication and journalism students presented at the 19th Annual Undergraduate Communication Research Conference at the University of Saint Thomas. Katie Jaimson, Andrew Lohr, Justin Rudnick and Emily Schriener conducted their research on the influence of students’ study abroad experiences on perceptions of international faculty in CJ 300: Research Methods, taught by Dr. Jennifer Becker. The students received funding for their trip through the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs at UW-Eau Claire.

Senior Nick Miller was crowned National Champion at the 2010 Interstate Oratorical Association Championship at the Univerisy of Oklahoma. He wowed the judges with his oration on the topic: Updating the Power Grid. He is the eigth Blugold take first place in this competition.
