William Randolph Hearst Journalism Scholarship

William Randolph Hearst(contingent upon funding)

Grants from the Hearst Journalism Awards Program are made to the Department of Communication and Journalism for each student entry in monthly writing, photojournalism, radio broadcast, television broadcast or multimedia competitions.  The grants are funded by the William Randolph Hearst Foundation. 

In order to apply for this scholarship, the applicant must meet all of the following eligibility criteria:

  • Be a continuing Journalism, Print Journalism, or Broadcast Journalism major

  • Have demonstrated outstanding achievement in writing, photo, broadcast and/or multimedia journalism

The Hearst Journalism Awards Program, founded in 1960, is conducted in the public interest, to provide support, encouragement, and assistance to journalism education at the university level.  Find more information about the William Randolph Hearst Foundation - Journalism Awards Program.
