Apply Your International Experience

Bring Your Photos & Interviews
We would love to see your group photos, you at your study abroad site, pictures with your host family, and scenic shots! If you have a few special photos that could be used in CIE materials, please e-mail them as jpegs to studyabroad@uwec.edu. In addition to participant photos, quotes from interviews are also used in our brochures, informational materials, and the web site. If you are interested in sharing your experiences in an interview, please email studyabroad@uwec.edu.

International Classroom Speakers
Earn money talking about your experience! Give 10 minute presentations on study abroad to five classes around campus. Work on your presentation skills, talk about your experience, and help others learn about study abroad! There is a training for the International Classroom Speakers program at the beginning of each semester, email studyabroad@uwec.edu for more information.

Orientation
Remember all the questions you had when you were getting ready to go abroad? Come talk at orientation to a new group of students, and share with them your stories! Email studyabroad@uwec.edu if interested in helping.

Study Abroad Again!
Other study abroad programs await you! Study abroad again and learn about other countries around the world.

Study Abroad Fair
Each fall the CIE sponsors the Study Abroad Fair. We are always looking for people to talk at the tables about their program. Email studyabroad@uwec.edu if you’re interested in being at your program’s table.

Take Classes With an International Emphasis
There are many courses offered at UW-Eau Claire with international focuses. Be sure to check those out when looking for courses next semester.

Publish Your Story
Transitions Abroad is a magazine, published six times a year, about travel and work abroad. Students are encouraged to write about their international experiences and submit them. Visit http://www.transitionsabroad.com/.

The magazine Abroad View is affiliated with Transitions Abroad but instead focuses on study abroad. They invite students to submit articles, and the editors are happy to read drafts.
