EXPLORE SWEDEN! The International Students group organizes regional trips each semester. Students often take time to explore Sweden or catch a train to Copenhagen & see other parts of Europe while studying abroad.
STUDENT COMMENTS
Sweden was extremely beneficial to my understanding of other cultures. Very few U.S. students study in Växjö, so I met people from all over the world. Academic life is very balanced, with time to complete your studies and enough time to travel and explore.-Nathan
Sweden is a beautiful place with so much to offer-anything from the outdoors to the typical Swedish culture-it is all so welcoming and enjoyable.
-Sara
This was a great program that exposes you to another culture. It is easy to meet other exchange students and you are sure to walk away with friends from all over the world. -Corey
It was easily the most rewarding experience I have ever had. I now have friends all over the world, and beyond that I have a perspective of the world from a different place which is simply invaluable. -Hannah
Växjö is a very diverse university, and because of this I have had the chance to meet not only a lot of Swedish students, but students from all over the world. This university and experience has enriched my education in ways I could not have imagined before I came over here. Therefore, I would recommend this program, or any other, to any student who was interested. -Scott
There's really not any way to simply sum up my experience. Like one of my friends has said, "same same, but different." There are a lot of things that are the same in Sweden, but at the same time there are so many things that are different; and that's what makes it an experience. If I had to use one word, it'd be awesome! -Gretchen
