Upon arrival at Ajou University, you will have 1 day orientation followed by a 3-day field trip. During your field trip you have the chance to stay in a traditional-Raftingstyle Korean house and visit museums, temples, and the beach.

GETTING INVOLVED
In addition to the formal orientation at the beginning of the program, there are welcome and farewell receptions hosted by the Office of International Affairs where you can meet other students, faculty, and staff. You will all participate in the weekly Korean Culture Workshop. The Workshop provides on-going orientation throughout your time at Ajou University as well as many activities such as taekwondo, ceramics, calligraphy, and visits to local points of interest.

STUDENT COMMENTS
Korea has a unique culture yet can still be accessible to many Americans who are not comfortable living in a completely different society. -Alex

The program was great and I think is something I will have fond memories of for the rest of my life. There were so many interesting people I met and things I saw. -Anna.

I thought the study abroad experience in South Korea taught me not only about the Korean culture but also about our culture at home. We met people from around the world and the different perspectives were very insightful. I would recommend this program to anyone. -Brittany

It isn’t easy to immerse yourself in a culture that is so different from home, but the rewards of such a challenging act are great. South Korea is full of a very unique culture, there’s always something to do and something to learn here. One of my favorite parts was that it is an international program, so not only did I learn about Korea, but I learned about many different countries. -Erin

My time spent in Korea was wonderful. There was so much to do and yet so little time to see everything there is. The international students made dorm life so much more comfortable. It really felt like home. -Ali
