International Folk Fair

Sunday, October 30, 2011
12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Davies Center

Folk Fair is the largest international festival of its kind in the area, and brings the community together in celebration of culture! It takes place every fall on the UW-Eau Claire campus and offers all who attend an enriching cultural and educational experience that will not be forgotten. School groups are encouraged to attend!

What is waiting for me at the International Folk Fair?

  • More than 40 countries/cultures are represented at Folk Fair each year by students, community organizations, university departments and clubs.
  • Global Cuisine
  • Cultural exhibits and performances
  • Educational activities for all ages
  • Live musical entertainment from around the world
  • Upon entering Folk Fair, a "passport" is given to each visitor. The passport is stamped after a person visits each exhibit and learns something about the culture or country represented therein.

How Can I Participate in the International Folk Fair?

To participate, at least one member of your group must attend the Folk Fair Planning Meeting. At the meeting, your group’s representative will be able to register your group to participate in the fair. You will also learn about important guidelines and Folk Fair application procedures. The International Folk Fair planning forms will also be provided and discussed.
