About CFSA

The Chinese Friendship and Scholarship Association (CFSA) is a non-profit organizatiion affiliated with the Internatioinal Education Office of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire whose aims are:

  • To facilitate communication, friendship, and fellowship among CFSA members.
  • To promote understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture and history to people in the northcentral region of Wisconsin.
  • To assist new Chines faculties, staff, and visiting scholars during their settle-in periods in Wisconsin.

Who may join?

CFSA membership is open to anyone regardless of ethnicity, religion, or political persuasion, in the Chippewa Valley, Greater Eau Claire, and the northwest Wisconsin region, who supports the airms and would like to be activly involved in sharing Chinese culture with others. Click here to join .

What does CFSA do? (Some examples..)

  • Celebration of Chinese festivals (Lunar new year, moon festivals, dragon etc.)
  • Chinese language classes
  • Seminars/lectures on Chiense culture and history
  • Public presentation of Chinese movies, arts, music...
  • Provision of educational and cultural resources (library, museum..)
  • Sponsoring community/scholarly cultural projects
