In this introductory course you will learn how to plan and write proposals to private foundations and government agencies. Sharpen your competitive edge and make your proposals stand out from the rest. Bring your grant ideas so you can put your writing skills into immediate practice.
Designed for beginning grant seekers, in this course you will learn to:
- Identify public and private sponsors
- Write a compelling summary statement and problem statement
- Craft reasonable project goals, objectives, activities, and outcomes
- Prepare a complete budget and budget narrative

Jeremy T. Miner, M.A., is director of grants and contracts at the UW-Eau Claire and president of Miner and Associates, Inc., a nationwide consulting firm that provides grant seeking and fundraising services to academic, healthcare, and other nonprofit organizations. In addition to developing and administering grant proposals, serving as a reviewer for federal and foundation grant programs, and presenting workshops, he has coauthored several leading books on grant writing.
