Develop your skills in mallet, drum set, snare, timpani, concert and world percussion.
Challenge yourself in this fast-paced week of instruction in all areas of percussion. We'll cover mallet, drum set, snare/basic technique, timpani, concert, and world percussion.
Instruction will be divided into beginner, intermediate and advanced tracks for most lessons. No matter what your experience level, this camp is for you. We'll spend plenty of time playing the instruments and weave in lecture and discussion to build our understanding of the concepts being presented.
Who should attend
Students entering grades 6-12 are welcome.
Dr. Jeffrey Crowell is an Associate Professor of Music at UW-Eau Claire. He currently teaches applied percussion and percussion techniques, conducts the UW-Eau Claire percussion ensembles, and leads Jazz Ensemble III, part of the University’s award-winning jazz studies area. A versatile artist in many genres, Dr. Crowell is active both nationally and internationally as a performer, clinician, adjudicator and educator.

Includes 15 hours of instruction, use of drums and mallets, and all materials.
