College Geography student(s) will demonstrate how to gather information with a GPS unit and other high end forms of geospatial equipment, such as total survey stations and laser distance finders. Information gathered will then be placed into a Geographic Information system for students to view what was collected.

Program Title: Global Positioning Systems demonstration and instruction
Professor: Joseph Hupy
Description:

College Geography student(s) will demonstrate how to navigate using coordinate systems with a GPS unit. This demonstration will be followed up with a competitive activity that allows for the use of GPS units and hand held radio to navigate to given points.
