I would like to say that the liberal arts education at UW-EC became a turning point in my life. I had the privilege of receiving a very personalized education with outstanding faculty, wise enough to prepare my mind for future challenges I happened to face. Thanks to this education, I was able to find good jobs at prestigious companies in my home country, Panama, and also could further pursue a master degree at a Japanese university later on. Nowadays, I serve as the second highest ranking officer of the Panama Embassy in Tokyo, and when the Head of Mission is away, I assume the direction of the Embassy's operations, with full authority to act on behalf of the sitting Ambassador. Certainly, the UW-EC education was the launching platform to reach this point of my life.
