Programs and courses in the College of Arts and Sciences expose students to the substance and methodology of disciplines in the humanities, arts, natural sciences, and social sciences.

The largest and most broadly based academic unit at the University, the College of Arts and Sciences comprises 18 departments and several interdisciplinary programs that contribute courses and experiences for students majoring in programs based in the college; extensive liberal education coursework; and supporting courses for academic programs in other colleges and for pre-professional programs.
