About Us 

Who We Are

The University of Wisconsin Eau Claire Bowling Club was formed in 1989.  Currently, it consists of two parts.  There is the League Group, which contains everyone involved in Bowling Club, and the Traveling Group, which consists of 10-12 members that compete outside league-intercollegiately.   

What We Do

Bowling Club members meet most Tuesday evenings at the Hilltop Recreation Center throughout the academic year.  Generally, this time is reserved for league and any other discussions that may be necessary (i.e. scheduling outside activities or organizing fundraisers).  

Along with league, 10-12 members of bowling club travel to compete against other schools in the Wisconsin Collegiate Bowling Conference (WCBC) and other invitationals.  This conference consists of 12 men's teams and 8 women's teams.  These teams are from schools all around Wisconsin and Minnesota.  The WCBC competes on four weekends between November and February.  These weekends generally consist of 6 team games on Saturday and 3 on Sunday.  Aside from WCBC weekends, bowling club also competes in a number of invitationals.  These invitationals are generally held on Saturday and Sunday.  They vary in format and prizes.  Most often a few hundred dollars is rewarded to the top couple of teams and individuals. 

How To Join

If you are interested in joining Bowling Club, all you have to do is show up at Hilltop Recreation Center on a Tuesday that we are meeting.  The only Tuesdays we don’t meet are the first couple each semester.  If you have any questions, or would like to be a part of our email list, please go to the contact us page to submit a question or request. 

Why Join

Bowling Club has many things to offer for all students.  If you enjoy bowling and would like some friendly competition, Bowling Club is for you.  If you just are interested for bowling and would like to meet many fun people, Bowling Club can do that for you as well.  Also, if you'd like to travel and compete at the college level against other schools from all over the nation Bowling Club can do that for you too.   

Officers

There are four Bowling Club officers.  The positions consist of President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary.  The positions are generally filled on one of the last meetings in the spring semester through election.  The officers recently elected for the 2001-2002 season are:
