WRIT 116.006 | Representations of Disability
Molly Patterson | Spring 2014 | TTh 12:00-1:50 & F 12:00-12:50
This course will investigate representations of disability through a rhetorical lens. We will dig into the relationship between (dis)ability and environment, analyze representations of disability in the wider culture, and tune into conversations on a variety of issues—social, political, and cultural—currently taking place within the disability community. Ultimately, the goal is to explore how various texts speak to, about, and in response to one another on the topic of disability.
