Research - Behavioral Ecology

  • Ecological relationships among red-naped sapsuckers (Sphyrapicus nuchalis), willows (Salix sp.), quaking aspens (Populus tremuloides), aspen heartrot fungus (Phellinus tremulae), and other species associated with sapsucker habitat in the Colorado Rocky Mountains.
  • Gene flow and population structure of the endangered Mexican fishing bat (Myotis vivesi) in the Gulf of California.
  • Systematics and biogeography of island and mainland spotted skunks (Spilogale gracilis)
  • Population genetics and social structure of golden-mantled ground squirrels (Spermophilus lateralis).
