Quizzes & Polls
Online quizzes and polls allow students to interact with Web-based material. Polls can be used to obtain feedback while quizzes can measure progress. Students can voice their opinions, react to class material, and discover new information.
What can I do with it?
- Create polls and embed them into D2L to obtain student opinions and encourage online interaction.
- Design a multiple-choice quiz that students can use to assess their understanding of class material.
- Implement interactive quizzes into the course that can be used to study content.
- Require that students create their own quizzes and share them with the entire class.
Polldaddy
With registration and no cost, Polldaddy allows a user to create polls and surveys in a simplistic manner. A customized layout makes the creation of a poll as easy as entering a poll question, a list of possible answers, and selecting a style. The creation of a survey is just as simple but requires a few more steps including entering a survey name and title, creating a start and finish message, selecting a style, and building the body of the survey. To build a survey, the user simply drags the building blocks of the survey (question types, page headers, etc) into an allotted work space.
