Support of Web-Based Technology

New web-based tools are emerging at a rapid rate. Because of their potential educational benefits, BITS has adapted its services to accommodate this growing trend, including adding a Learning Technology Consultant to its staff. We now provide consultation services regarding web-based technology, as time allows. Our services include advising faculty in the selection of these products and answering questions about their use and application. While we generally do not provide classroom workshops for these products, we will consider these requests on a case-by-case basis.

Due to the overwhelming number of products available, we cannot guarantee prior experience for each one. The following list includes the web applications that we are currently prepared to advise on. If you are curious about a product that is not included in this list, please let us know. We would like to keep updated on emergent technologies and – after a quick investigation – we may decide to invest our time into learning the product.
