WOMEN'S TRACK AND FIELD COMPETES AT UW-PLATTEVILLE
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The UW-Eau Claire women’s track and field team competed today in the UW-Platteville Track and Field Meet. The Blugolds did especially well in the 3000 meter run. Hannah Humbach (So.-Madison, WI/Abundant Life) won the event with a time of 10:25. 72. Mary Palmer (Jr.-Anoka, MN) was right behind Humbach finishing second with a time of 10:25.91. Liz Kooistra (Jr.-Lakeville, MN) dominated the 800 meter run. Kooistra finished first with a time of 2:19.18. The Blugolds’ Amy Bachinski (So.-Stevens Point, WI/SPASH) placed third in the 55 meter dash with a time of 7.58 seconds. Laura Broner (Jr.-Madison, WI/Memorial) received a third place finish in the 200 meter dash with a time of 26.61. The Blugolds 4x400 meter relay team finished third behind Luther College and UW-Platteville. The Blugolds’ relay team finished with a time of 4:18. 46. In the field events, the Blugolds’ Amy Morse (Jr.-Kaukauna, WI) finished second in the weight throw with a throw of 16.03 meters. Haley Suckow (So.-Elk Mound, WI) received second in the pole vault with a vault of 3.21 meters. In the long jump Tonya White (So.-Byron, MN) finished third with a jump of 5.02 meters. Next up for the women’s track and field team is the UW-Stevens Point Invite next Saturday. The meet begins at 11 a.m. Results -SB-
