WOMEN'S TENNIS HANDLES RIVER FALLS

RIVER FALLS - The UW-Eau Claire women's tennis team didn't lose a set en route to defeating the UW-River Falls Falcons 9-0 here today.

Number one singles player Alison Hover (Sr.-St. Cloud, MN/Tech) won 6-0, 6-4 to lead the team. Laurie Alonso (Fr.-Austin/MN) had little difficulty as she didn't lose a game, winning 6-0, 6-0. Jennifer Stafford (Jr.-Cross Plains/Middleton), Tara Anderson (So.-Litchfield, MN), and Becky Hollinger (So.-Jefferson) all won their matches 6-0, 6-2.

The victory improves the Blugolds record to 5-0 in Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play and 13-0 overall.

The Blugolds will come home to play UW-Stevens Point tomorrow at 3:00 p.m.

#2 - Stafford/Tauer (EC) defeated Metzer/Verberne (RF) 8-0.
#3 - Hollinger/Cadwell (EC) defeated Knobloch/Weissinger (RF) 8-1.
