WOMEN'S TENNIS BLANKS STOUT

MENOMINEE - The UW-Eau Claire women's tennis team didn't lose a set en route to blanking UW-Stout 9-0 today.

Returning conference champions Alison Hover (Sr.-St. Cloud, MN/Tech), Jenny Stafford (Jr.-Cross Plains/Middleton), and Becky Hollinger (So.-Jefferson) led the charge with easy victories. Laurie Alonso (Fr.-Austin, MN), Tara Anderson (So.-Litchfield, MN), and Katie Steffes (Fr.-St. Joseph, MN/Apollo) also were victorious, winning in straight sets.

The doubles teams had little difficulty in winning all three matches.

The Blugolds face Luther College at home in a non-conference dual on Saturday, Sept. 21.

#2 - Stafford/Anderson (EC) defeated Patient/Boyle (ST) 8-2.
#3 - Hollinger/Tauer (EC) defeated Rodin/Fieber (ST) 8-3.
