HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The UW-Eau Claire women's tennis team shut out the 10th-ranked team in the northeast in Wellesley College 9-0 here today.

The top two singles players Alison Hover (Sr.-St. Cloud, MN/Tech) and Jenny Stafford (Jr.-Cross Plains/Middleton) lost only four games between them. Hover won 6-4, 6-0 while Stafford shut out her opponent 6-0, 6-0.

Tara Anderson (So.-Litchfield, MN) lost the first set of her match 6-1 but came back to win the final two sets 6-0, 7-6.

The Blugolds will be in action tomorrow when they play Campbellsville University and Limestone College.
