WOMEN'S SWIMMING AND DIVING COMES UP SHORT OF LA CROSSE

LA CROSSE - The UW-Eau Claire women's swimming and diving team could not keep up with Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opponent UW-La Crosse as they fell to the Eagles 161.5-81.5 her tonight in Mitchell Hall.

Highlighting the night for the Blugolds was Liz VonFeldt (Jr-Lancaster) who took the only first place finish for Eau Claire. She took first in the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:34.7. Cori Severson (Fr-Brainerd, MN) finished second in the 50 and 100 yard freestyle events and was also a member of the second place relay team in the 400 yard freestyle relay.

The Blugolds will resume action on Friday and Saturday, December 6 and 7, when they travel to Oshkosh for the Titan Invitational.
