WOMEN SWIMMERS AND DIVERS FOURTH AFTER DAY ONE
STEVENS POINT - The UW-Eau Claire women's swimming and diving has hold of fourth place after the first day of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships.
The Blugold women had four third place finished on the day. Liz Von Feldt (Jr.-Lancaster) had the first third place finish for Eau Claire as she finished the 200-yard individual medley in a time of 2:13.17. Cori Severson (Fr.-Brainerd, MN) took third in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 24.72 seconds.
Adria Bye (Jr.-Appleton/West) took home a third place finish in the three-meter diving competition. Bye had the second highest score in the preliminaries with a score of 399.95 and scored a 396.60 in the finals. The Blugolds 400-yard medley relay team took home the final third place finish for Eau Claire when they finished in a time of 4:13.60.
Competition will resume tomorrow with the preliminaries beginning at 10 a.m. The finals will begin 5:30 p.m.
