DITTRICH RECEIVES WOMEN’S HOCKEY TEAM HONORS

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – UW-Eau Claire women’s hockey forward Beth Dittrich (So.-Roseville, Minn.) was honored with two awards at the 2007-08 team banquet, head coach Mike Collins announced today.

Dittrich received the team’s student-athlete and Blugold awards. This season Dittrich led the team with 10 assists and was fourth on the team with 14 points. She scored one of her four goals on a power play and also had a game-winning goal for the Blugolds this year.

The Blugolds finished the season with an overall record of 12-14-0 and a 9-9-0 count in conference play. The nine Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) wins is a school record for most conference wins in a season. The Blugolds finished fourth in the NCHA this season, which ties with three other seasons as the Blugolds highest conference finish.
