IVES NAMED WIAC WOMEN'S GOLFER OF THE WEEK

MADISON - UW-Eau Claire women's golf member Torie Ives (Fr.-Osseo/Osseo-Fairchild) has been named the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Women's Golfer of the Week, it was announced today by conference sports information director Matt Stanek.

Ives shot two consistent rounds of 78 and 77 to tie for third place in the 25-team Illinois Wesleyan Fall Classic on September 16-17. She helped the Blugolds to a second-place finish, just one stroke behind DePauw (Ind.). On the second day of the tournament, the Blugolds had the best team total of the tournament, a 305, which helped them move from sixth place to second place.
