WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY FOURTH AT WIAC CHAMPIONSHIPS
COLFAX - The UW-Eau Claire women's cross country team finished fourth overall with an average time of 23:21.00 at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championships held here today at Whitetail Golf Course.
Melissa Wright (Sr.-Appleton/Kimberly) crossed the finish line first for the Blugolds with her seventh place finish. Korah Petrasko (Fr.-Appleton/East) was next to cross for the Blugolds with her 20th place finish.
Rounding out the Blugold top-five is Jeanine Twomey (So.-Blaine, MN/Spring Lake Park) in 30th, Sarah Kasabian (Sr.-East Peoria, IL) in 35th and Rachel Anderson (So.-St. Paul, MN/Harding) in 41st.
UW-Stevens Point snapped UW-La Crosse's two-year reign with their first place finish. Liz Woodworth of UW-Oshkosh finished fourth overall individually.
