CROSS COUNTRY TAKES THIRD AT ALL-AMERICAN INVITE

DECORAH, Iowa - The UW-Eau Claire women's cross country finished third at the 32nd All-American Invitational held at Luther College here today.

Sarah Kasbian (Sr.-East Peoria, IL) led the Blugold runners with a time of 19:02 finishing 34 seconds behind winner Julia Rudd of UW-La Crosse to finish in fifth.

Jennifer Warmke (So.-Black River Falls) finished 14 seconds behind Kasbian at 19:16 to finish 11th while Rachel Anderson (So.-St. Paul, MN/Harding) finished 20th in 19:38.

Rounding out the Blugold placers were Korah Petrasko (Fr.-Appleton/East) in 19:44, Heather Lipinski (Jr.-Thorp) in 19:54, Nikki Johnson (Sr.-St. Cloud, MN/Cathedral) in 20:11 and Jeanine Twomey (So.-Blaine, MN/Spring Park Lake) in 20:12.

Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference rival La Crosse finished first overall with host Luther finishing second.

Eau Claire will travel to St. Olaf Saturday to compete in the St. Olaf Invitational. The race is scheduled to begin at noon.
