BLUGOLD BASKETBALL RECEIVES NATIONAL RECOGNITION

EAU CLAIRE - The UW-Eau Claire women's basketball team continues to climb in the latest D3hoops.com Weekly Top 25.

Unranked at the beginning of the season, the women's basketball team has climbed to 10th in the latest D3hoops.com poll. Now 9-0 overall and in first place in the WIAC with a 3-0 record, the Blugolds debuted at number 20 in their inaugural debut then rocketed up to 12th after defeating then-11th ranked UW-Stout. This week the Blugolds climbed two spots after defeating St. Scholastica and UW-Superior last week. UW-Stout is ranked 14th followed by UW-Stevens Point who is ranked 15th.

After concluding final exams on Friday, the Blugolds head out to Brookings, South Dakota to take on Division II South Dakota State for an 8:00 P.M. contest this Saturday. South Dakota State is ranked third in the latest National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC)/Division II Weekly Top 25.
