WET GROUNDS CURTAIL BLUGOLD HOME OPENER - NO FOOLING!

Wet grounds will prevent the UW-Eau Claire women's softball team from making its home debut this weekend. And that's no fooling!

The Blugolds were scheduled to face St. Norbert College and the College of St. Scholastica Saturday and Sunday at Gelein Field in Carson Park.

Instead, the Blugolds will travel to De Pere Saturday to take on St. Norbert while the St. Scholastica twin bill will be rescheduled at a later date.

The Blugolds are riding a seven-game win streak and ranked No. 9 in the current NFCA Division III poll. They will take a 13-3 season record into their doubleheader at St. Norbert.

The Blugolds' home opener now appears to be a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader with rival UW-Stout April 12.
