DAMATO NAMED TO ALL-CENTRAL REGION TEAM

MISSION, Kansas - UW-Eau Claire women's soccer player Maleia Damato (Sr.-Cedarburg) has been named to the 2003 National Soccer Coaches Association of America/Adidas All-Central Region third team, it was announced recently by the NSCAA.

Damato, a midfielder in 2003, earns All-Region third team honors after earning first team honors in 2002. Damato played and started in 18 games during the 2003 season and scored four goals for eight points. Her four goals came on just eight shots, giving her a .267 shooting percentage which ranked her second on the Blugold roster.

The 2003 Blugolds finished with a record of 8-11-1 on the season against a schedule of tough conference and non-conference opponents.
