BLANK, MYERS NAMED WIAC ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

MADISON – UW-Eau Claire women’s swimmer Jaclyn Blank (Fr.-Byron, MN) and diver Sara Myers (Jr.-Eau Claire/North) have been named the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Women’s Swimming and Diving Athletes of the Week, it was announced today by conference sports information director Matt Stanek.

Blank won two events as the Blugolds won the five-team UW-Oshkosh Invitational on Dec. 1-2 in Appleton. She won the 1,650-yard freestyle in 18:44.60 and the 500-yard freestyle in 5:31.08 and was the only double-winner for the Blugolds at the meet.

Myers won the one-meter diving event as the Blugolds won the five-team UW-Oshkosh Invitational on Dec. 1-2 in Appleton. She posted a score of 370.00 and also placed second in the three-meter event with a mark of 324.20.
