MEN SWIMMERS AND DIVERS STRUGGLE AT ST. CLOUD

ST. CLOUD, MN - The UW-Eau Claire men's swimming and diving team took fifth place at the St. Cloud Invitational here today at the Halenbeck Pool.

Mike Carroll (Jr.-Green Lake) placed second in the 400-yd Individual Medley with a time of 4:35.10 and Dan Von Feldt (Sr.-Lancaster) finished third in the 1-meter dive with a score of 313.65 to secure the only top three finishes for the Blugolds.

Host St. Cloud State University took first with a score of 766.50. St. Cloud was followed up by Minnesota State-Mankato at 332, North Dakota at 319.50, St. John's at 207, and Eau Claire at 125.

The Blugolds will compete next in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Relays. The meet will be held at the McPhee Phy Ed Natatorium with a start time of 9 a.m.
