BLUGOLD BASKETBALL RECEIVES REGIONAL, NATIONAL RECOGNITION

EAU CLAIRE - The UW-Eau Claire men's basketball team received recognition this past week through both the NCAA Regional Rankings and D3hoops.com.

The Blugolds appeared in the D3hoops.com Top 25 for the first time this season, debuting at number 21 this week. Now 7-1 overall and in first place in the WIAC with a 3-0 mark, the Blugolds were the highest-debuting team on this week's poll joining WIAC schools UW-Stevens Point (6th), UW-Oshkosh (10th) and UW-Whitewater (22nd). In the first NCAA Division III West Region rankings of the season, the Blugolds found themselves ranked among the top 10 teams in the region. The Blugolds are one of four WIAC schools to appear in the regional rankings.

After concluding final exams on Friday, the Blugolds return to action on Saturday as they travel to Duluth, Minnesota to face St. Scholastica for a 3:00 P.M. tip-off.
