TWO ATHLETES HONORED BY CONFERENCE
MADISON, Wis. – UW-Eau Claire football outside linebacker Tom Dohr (Jr.-Neenah, Wis.) and diver Sarah Myers (Sr.-Eau Claire, Wis./North) have been named the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference players of the week, conference spokesman Matt Stanek has announced. Dohr had a team-high 14 tackles (2 solo) in UW-Eau Claire’s 28-7 victory over UW-Stevens Point on Nov. 3. He was also credited with one quarterback sack and one forced fumble in the contest as the Blugold defense held the Pointers to their lowest point total of the season. Dohr also had a crucial 31-yard touchdown return of a blocked punt that gave UW-Eau Claire a 21-7 lead in the third quarter. Myers won the one-meter diving (212.35) and three-meter diving (223.20) competition’s in UW-Eau Claire’s 167-70 dual meet victory over UW-River Falls on Nov. 2. - KM -
