30TH ANNUAL BLUGOLD GOLF OUTING SET FOR AUGUST 7

The 30th Annual UW-Eau Claire Blugold Booster Golf Outing will take place Monday, August 7 at Wild Ridge Golf Course.

UWEC athletic officials anticipate 160 local businessmen and boosters will participate in the fundraiser for Blugold athletics. Nearly two dozen Blugold coaches and athletics staff and more than 40 athletes will cover the course, interacting and assisting with the boosters who will play an 18-hole scramble. Nearly one-third of the scramble teams will win prizes.

The event receives significant underwriting from M&L Brands Inc. and Mega Pick 'n Save in addition to numerous hole sponsors.

There will be contests on all the par three holes with premium prizes going to the individual that gets closest to the hole. Additional contests are planned for the other 14 holes.

Spots are still available for the outing but reservations must be made by Friday, July 28, said outing coordinator Tim Petermann. The registration fee of $150 includes 18 holes of golf, two carts per fivesome, Blugold souvenir gifts, brats, and beverages on the course, and a buffet style sirloin steak dinner at the course.
