Four individual athletes and both UW-Eau Claire cross country teams have been recognized by the US Track and Field/Cross Country Coaches Association for classroom excellence. The Blugold men’s and women’s cross country teams were both honored for having team grade point averages above 3.10. The men were at 3.17 and the women at 3.36. A total of 86 men’s teams and 112 women’s teams were recognized nationally. Additionally, four Blugold runners were named to the All-Academic team. The Blugold honorees include sophomore Kevin Hall (Green Bay/Preble), sophomore Beth Lutz (Eau Claire/Memorial), sophomore Ellie Lutz (Eau Claire/Memorial) and senior Christina Locke (Racine/Horlick).
