KID'S NIGHT OUT SET FRIDAY

The UW-Eau Claire athletics program will sponsor its second to last Kid's Night Out event of the academic year this Friday.

Head football coach Todd Glaser will direct the event which essentially is a baby-sitting service for three hours Friday night. The cost is $10 per child.

Parents can drop off their children at the McPhee Phy Ed Center from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday while they go out to eat, go shopping or just spend a quiet and relaxing evening alone, according to Glaser.

Blugold athletic teams will watch and entertain the children through activities in the swimming pool, gymnasium and classroom.

Children from kindergarten through seventh grade (ages 5-12) will be accepted. A first responder will be present to assist with the event. Children will not be permitted to leave the building until picked up by a parent or guardian.

Registration can be done on site or by downloading a registration form from the web and bringing it already completed.

The final Kids Night Out is set for Friday, April 27.
