40 BLUGOLD ATHLETES GRADUATE

Forty athletes were among UW-Eau Claire's mid-year graduates this past December.

This brings to 619 the number of athletes that have graduated in the 13 graduation ceremonies since December, 2001.

The three graduating classes of 2004-05 included 138 athletes, 2003-04 included 146 athletes, 2002-03 included 170 athletes and 2001-02 included 125 athletes.

These totals include only athletes who actually participated in a Blugold uniform. December's group of 40 athletes represented 132 seasons of participation.

"These totals show that our student-athletes have come to Eau Claire for the right reason and have enhanced their education through athletics participation," said Blugold compliance coordinator Tim Petermann.
