GYMNASTICS FALLS TO WHITEWATER IN DUAL MEET

WHITEWATER – The UW-Eau Claire gymnastics team was defeated tonight by UW-Whitewater in a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) dual meet by a score of 182.750-174.425.

Anna Sutherland (So.-Arden Hills, MN/Roseville) placed fourth in the all-around with a score of 35.800. She was the highest Blugold-finisher in the vault as she placed second with a score of 9.300. She was also the highest Blugold-finisher in the balance beam as she finished fifth with a score of 9.100.

Kristi Olson (Jr.-Minnetonka, MN) finished second in the uneven parallel bars with a score of 9.000. Finally in the floor exercise, Ashley Brett (Sr.-Forest Lake, MN) finished fourth with a score of 9.275.

The Blugolds are now 0-2 in WIAC dual matches and 1-12 overall.

The Blugolds will host Gustavus Adolphus College (MN) next Friday in another conference dual meet at the McPhee Physical Education Center. The meet is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
