EAGLES GRABS FIVE ALL-CONFERENCE SELECTIONS

MADISON - Alison Eagles (So-Shoreview, MN/Mounds View) joined an elite list in Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference history as she earned a spot on the 2002-2003 all-conference teams in every event, including the all-around, based on her performance at this year's WIAC gymnastics championships held in Oshkosh.

Not only did Eagles grab a spot on all five positions, she was also named the National Gymnast of the Week for Division III women's gymnastics by Insidegymnastics.com

She took home a second place finish in the vault at the Jefferson Invitational which featured Gustavus Adolphus, Winona State, and UW-La Crosse.

Morris shattered the Blugold individual record for highest balance beam score on several occasions and currently holds the record with a score of 9.475 set at the WIAC championships. The record prior to this season stood at 8.925.

Kristina Reitzel (Jr-Oakdale, MN/Hill-Murray) grabbed the Blugolds final all-conference selection, taking the honor in the all-around competition. Reitzel was the Blugolds most consistent all-around finisher and took sixth place at the WIAC championships.

Eagles and her teammates will be in action Friday in Menomonie as the Blugolds will participate in the John Zuerlein Invitational. The competition is set to begin at 7:00 p.m.
