Assistant Football Coach - Eric Kyles
Eric Kyles enters his second season
back with the Blugolds after serving as an assistant coach
from 1993-98. Kyles will coach the wide receivers.
An Oshkosh, Wisconsin native, Kyles
returns to the Blugold coaching staff after coaching at
two Chippewa Valley high schools. Kyles served as head
football coach and offensive coordinator at Cornell High
School from 1999-2001 and as a wide receivers coach, defensive
backs coach and special teams coordinator at Colfax High
School from 2002-05. From 1993-98, Kyles was a Blugolds
assistant coach under the leadership of head coaches Greg
Polnasek and Bob Nielson. During that time Kyles coached
the Blugold wide receivers (1993-96), place kickers (1994-98)
and outside linebackers (1997-98).
An honors graduate at UW-Eau Claire
in May 1998 with a teaching degree in comprehensive physical
education and a teaching certification in adaptive physical
education, Kyles went on to attend UW-Stout and received
a certification for teaching cognitively disabled (CD)
students in 2005.
Currently teaching special education-CD
with and emphasis on autism spectrum disorder students
at Colfax High School, Kyles resides in Menomonie with
wife Chris, son Matt (b. 7/30/00) and daughter Elizabeth
(b. 9/25/05).
