Assistant Football Coach - Matt Rice

Matt Rice

Matt Rice enters his first season as an assistant coach for the Blugolds. Rice will be responsible for coaching the defensive line.

A McFarland, Wisconsin native, Rice comes to Eau Claire after serving as a graduate assistant coach at Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota for the last two years. At Northern State Rice served as the Wolves' special teams coordinator as well as the tight end/fullback coach. Prior to Northern State Rice was the offensive and defensive line coach at McFarland High School.

Rice received his bachelor's degree from UW-Whitewater in physical education with a minor in coaching. At Whitewater Rice was a three-year starter and four-year letterwinner for the Warhawk football team.
