Assistant Football Coach - Brett Wedlund

Brett Wedlund

Brett Wedlund enters his first season as a graduate assistant coach for the Blugolds. Wedlund will be responsible for coaching the tight end position.

Prior to Eau Claire Wedlund was the defensive coordinator/defensive line coach at Robbinsdale Cooper High School in New Hope, Minnesota during the 2003 season. Wedlund also coached at Spring Valley High School from 2000-2002 where he coached special teams, running backs, linebackers, defensive ends and was an assistant offensive line coach.

A graduate of Cambridge-Isanti High School, Wedlund received his bachelor’s degree in broad field social studies/history emphasis from UW-River Falls in 2003. Wedlund completed a master’s of arts in teaching degree at Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota where the topic of his thesis was “Cohesion and Team Building in High School Athletics.” At UW-Eau Claire Wedlund is pursuing a degree in the master’s of education in professional development (MEPD).
