BESTUL AND CROW NAMED TO ALL-ACADEMIC TEAMS

Mike Bestul (Sr.-Chippewa Falls/Chi-Hi) was named to the 2002 Verizon Academic All-District V College Division Football First Team for the second consecutive year while Austin Crow (Jr.-Woodbury/MN) was named to the Second Team.

Bestul, an offensive lineman, holds a 3.93 grade point average as a kinesiology major. He is a member of E Club (kinesiology) and Golden Key National Honor Society. Bestul is a team captain and a three-year letter winner. He has also played a key part in Eau Claire averaging 141 yards-per-game on the ground and 217 yard-per-game through the air.

Crow, a defensive lineman, majors in biology and holds a 3.39 grade point average. He is the leading tackler on the defensive line and fourth overall with 45 tackles for the Blugold football team. He also leads the team in sacks, tackles for loss, and fumbles recovered.
