WOMEN’S TRACK AND FIELD COMPETES AT PAIR OF EVENTS

DES MOINES, Iowa, HILLSDALE, Mich. – The UW-Eau Claire women’s track and field team was spread across two states today.

Some went to the Gina Relays in Hillsdale, Mich. while others went to the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa.

At Hillsdale, Eau Claire grabbed a few top spots. Hannah Humbach (So.-Madison, Wis./Abundant Life) took 6th in the 3000-meter steeplechase on an 11:07.73 time, an NCAA Division III provisional qualifying time. Elly Prunty (So.-Antigo, Wis.) and Molly Warner (Sr.-Mosinee, Wis.) took 10th and 13th in the 10,000-meter run, respectively. Prunty had a time of 38:07.65 while Warner’s was 38:35.96.

At the Drake Relays, Kjersten Holt (Sr.-Long Prairie, Minn./Grey Eagle), Briana Berg (So.-Arcadia, Wis.), Amy Bachinski (So.-Stevens Point, Wis./SPASH) and Anna Sutherland (Jr.-Arden Hills, Minn./Roseville) took 11th in the 4x200-meter relay with a 1:48.05 time.

Both events continue tomorrow, as does the UW-Oshkosh Open.
