BARNES NAMED WIAC FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

MADISON - UW-Eau Claire women's track and field pole vaulter Stephanie Barnes (Jr.-Sauk City/Sauk Prairie) has been named the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Women's Field Athlete of the Week, it was announced today by conference sports information director Matt Stanek.

Barnes won the pole vault event at the Kip Janvrin Open at Simpson (Iowa) with a height of 12-11. The winning height was 11 inches better than the second-place finisher. Barnes set the school record and currently ranks first in the NCAA Division III with the performance.
