WOMEN'S TENNIS TO HOST ST. SCHOLASTICA
EAU CLAIRE - The UW-Eau Claire women's tennis team will be at home Friday for the first time this season as they will host the College of St. Scholastica. The Blugolds started out the season sweeping all the matches against the Milwaukee School of Engineering and then finishing third out of eight teams in the Warhawk Invite. Every member of the Blugolds tennis team has a winning record on the season. The No.1 doubles duo of Laura Geissler (Jr.-Coon Rapids, MN) and Kristie Carlson (So.-Arden Hills, MN/Mounds View) have a record of 4-0 on the season, taking the championship in their flight at the Warhawk Invite. No.1 singles player Katie Kuzma (Sr.-Buffalo, MN), as well as singles players Alli Taplin (Jr.-Dayton, MN/Champlin Park) and Whitney Hay (So.-New Richmond) are all 3-1 on the season. No.2 doubles players Liz Deprey (So.-Green Bay/Notre Dame) and Brit Wagner (Fr.-La Crosse/Central) and No. 3 doubles players Lindsey Edson (So.-New Richmond) Kristin Neuman (So.-Green Bay/Ashwaubenon) are also 3-1 on the season. The Blugolds were defeated in their last meeting against St. Scholastica 1-8 back in February in Duluth. The action is set to begin Friday at 3:30 p.m. at Simpson Courts - JR -
