WOMEN'S TENNIS HANDS OUT TEAM AWARDS

EAU CLAIRE - The UW-Eau Claire women's tennis team and Coach Craig Monson handed out team awards from this past season at its awards banquet over the weekend.

Liz Deprey (So.-Green Bay/Notre Dame) was named the Most Valuable Singles player. This season Deprey went 12-6, including going 4-0 in the spring.

Deprey was also named the team's Most Improved Player. She doubled her win output from six last year to 12 this year.

Laura Geissler (Jr.-Coon Rapids, MN) was named the Most Valuable Doubles Player. With two different partners this season, Geissler won a total of 15 doubles matches. Geissler was received the Coach's Award.

The Hustle Award went to Kristie Carlson (So.-Arden Hills, MN/Mounds View). Carlson won 11 singles matches and 13 doubles matches this season.

Sarah Riordan (So.-Appleton, WI/North) received the Blugolds Award. Geissler and Katie Kuzma (Sr.-Buffalo, MN) were the captains for the past season.
