HOVER, ALONSO NAMED WIAC DOUBLES TEAM OF THE WEEK

MADISON - The UW-Eau Claire doubles tennis tandem of Alison Hover (Sr.-St. Cloud, MN/Tech) and Laurie Alonso (Fr.-Austin, MN) were named the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Team of the Week, it was announced by conference sports information director Matt Stanek.

Hover and Alonso won big conference matches against UW-La Crosse and UW-Oshkosh to help the Blugolds win both dual meets. The duo defeated La Crosse's Kristin Mader and Erica Schmelzer, 8-6, and then upended the previously undefeated Oshkosh duo of Debra Ashenbrenner and Mercedes Blanch 8-5. Hover and Alonso improved their record to 4-0 on the season.
