HOLFORTY WINS AT AUGSBURG OPEN

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The UW-Eau Claire wrestling team competed in the Augsburg Open on Saturday. They had several noticeable individual finishers.

In the gold class, Josh Holforty (Jr.-Bloomington, MN/Kennedy) took first place in the 197 pound weight class, Dave Heser (Jr.-Tomah, WI) took fourth place in the 197 pound weight class, Joey Miller (Sr.-Lake Tomahawk, WI) took fifth in the 172 pound weight class, and Andy Miller (Jr.-Appleton, WI) took sixth in the 133 pound weight class.

In the silver class, John Berlin (So.-Shell Lake, WI) took first place in the heavy weight class.

The UW-Eau Claire wrestling team's next match is Tuesday when they take on Luther College. The Blugolds will be hosting the match in McPhee, and it is set to start at 7 p.m.
